  4. As per a recent report by the Environment Ministry submitted to theUnited Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, more than one-fourth of India’s geographical area is undergoing the process of desertification despite ongoing efforts to tackle the problem.
  5. The European Commission will restrict the use of Neonicotinoid chemicals in pesticides which is linked to reduce bee population by researchers.
